Model College, Meenangadi was established in the year 2010 and is affiliated with the University of Calicut. This institution is Managed by the Institute of Human resource Development (IHRD) Thiruvanathapuram, a Govt.of Kerala undertaking. Model College is functioning in the  PBM Building at Meenangadi Town in Wayanad District.
